Avoid Procrastination

I wasn’t among the best in academics during my school days. The primary reason (albeit in hindsight) was that I would falter in completing my homework on time. It would pile up over days, and the burden would be so huge in the end that all the scramble and late- night studies just before the exams wouldn’t be adequate to get the best understanding of any subject.

If we complete our work on time (and nowadays, efforts are being made to reduce students’ burden), chances are that we are much at peace, and our minds aren’t anxious or stressed enough to stop absorbing the key points we must remember.

This habit is especially useful in corporate life. It is common for people to procrastinate and push work to the next day because the deadline seems far off until more work comes in. We find it hard to juggle between tasks or pay focused attention to the job at hand. The quality of deliverables begins to suffer, and this affects our growth within the organisation, too.

So, if your teacher gives you homework, don’t forget or postpone it. It’s a habit worth avoiding.
